Announcement of 2011 President Chao Nee Memorial Scholarship Recipients
The NCKUAANA President Chao Nee Memorial Scholarship Committee has completed its evaluation of 2011 scholarship applicants. Listed below are the selected recipients, whose outstanding accomplishments rendered them all exceptionally competitive candidates.
Andrew Yang (楊安智) – a Sophomore at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science & Engineering, and minoring in Biomedical Engineering, Public Policy. He is the son of Jeff Yang (楊振福 1975 Civil Engineering), member of CKUAA – SCA.
Candace Lynn Wu (吳澐) – a Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sophomore, with a major in Biology and minor in Psychology. Daughter of Hua-Hsing Wu (吳華興, 1977 Civil Engineering), member of CKUAA – SCA.
Jessica Lydia Yuan (袁寶)- a Harvard University Senior, majoring in Economics. Daughter of Jih Yuan (袁志毅﹐1976 Chemistry) and Lydia Chang (張磊, 1979 Chemical Engineering), member of CKUAA - GNY.
Allen Shih (施亞倫) - a Sophomore at Harvard University, majoring in Chemical and Physical Biology, and minoring in Chemistry. He is the son of Frank Shih (施永強, 1980 Electrical Engineering), member of CKUAA – GNY.
The $1,000 scholarship and a framed award certificate will be presented to each recipient at the annual NCKUAANA local meeting to which their parents belong。
