Subject: 2009 Bi-Annual Conference

Dear Presidents:

It is my pleasure to inform you that the 2009 Bi-Annual Conference of the NCKU North America has been determined on 8/13/09-8/16/09 at Oak Brook Hills Marriott Resort, Oak Brook, Illinois. The hotel rate is $119 per night for double occupancy including continental breakfast for two. Please go to their web site for more information. The details of the program will be posted on NCKU.net soon so that the interested alumni can review, register and reserve the hotel rooms. Please convey this message to the alumni of your chapter and encourage them to participate.

There will be a conference of the Presidents of the regional chapters to award the unsound hero(heroine) and outstanding alumni candidates, to amend the by-law and to elect the new president for the coming years. We have send our invitation to President and Vice President of NCKU and director of NCKU Alumni Center. Presidents of Taichung and Tainan alumni associations have indicated that they will come.

NCKU North America Alumni Foundation and NCKU.net have been invited to host some group meetings. The NCKU Alumni Center will provide some materials for the technology transfer forum. A draft schedule of the event is attached for your information. More information will be included as we move on. Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions and/or comment. I encourage everyone taking advantage of this opportunity to invite your classmates visiting Chicago next summer. It will definitely be a lot of fun.
