Hi, Please send this to all alumni ASAP.
I have tried to contact Johnson's family but no one answers the phone. Through Theresa, Dr. Richard Chu's wife at Poughkeepsie, I have gotten the following information:
Johnson passed away last Wednesday May 10 3PM after a kidney transplant a week ago which developed into problem. His family, wife, two sons and a daughter are here now waiting for his sister to arrive from Taiwan on Thursday. The funeral service is planned to be on May 20th, Saturday.
I will try to keep in touch with Dr. Chu and transmit more information as available.
Please let all alumni know. NCKUNY should make appropriate arrangement ASAP such as transportation to the funeral from NYC etc etc..
Feel free to call if have any questions.

Subject: Sad News about Johnson Luu-Tay Kuo 1961 Physics NCKU
Dear Friends,
My apology if you have received more than one email or already recieved this sad news. I am bcc several mailing lists in my computer (my NYnckulist, EE52list and a few personal lists) with the intention to reach NCKU alumni who are friends of Johnson.
Johnson Luu-Tay Kuo (1961, Physic, NCKU) passed away on May 10th due to a complication after a kidney transplant a week earlier. We are shocked and saddened by the news.
Johnson was an outstanding alumnus, talented athlete, active and loved at NCKU in many activities including singing and sports. Johnson was a devoted and loving father and husband and a most respected out-reaching great friend of many of us.
While everyone is still in shock, the following are some preliminary information about his memorial service I received from Theresa Chu (Mrs. Richard Chu, 1955 ME IBM Fellow now living in Hopewell Junction, NY). Please take a note and feel free to share with other friends:
The funeral home is Timothy Doyle Funeral Home on 371 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepise and phone # 845 485 0241. There're viewing hours this coming Friday. The family has not decided on the time yet. Saturday service is at 10:00 AM. For more information log on WWW.WMGMillerfuneralhome.com as time gets closer. The obituary in Poughkeepsie Journal should have more information this Sunday.
If there is any more information, an update will be sent to this bcc list.
Kevin, this email is addressed to you as the president of NCKUGNY, please help disseminate information and arrange any logistics for alumni to express condolences and attend the funeral service. Many Thanks.
Best,
Ifay
