Dr. Keith Chan is President and CEO of Revico Inc., GloboAsia LLC, and Adjunct Professor at the School of Pharmacy, University of Maryland and National Yang Ming University (Taiwan) and Board of Advisors at the College of Pharmacy, University of Minnesota.  He is formerly co-founder and Senior Vice President of GloboMax LLC (Hanover, Maryland), an innovative pharmaceutical product development organization providing scientific, regulatory and strategic solutions to the pharmaceutical and biotech industry.  He received his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from the University of Minnesota in 1980, MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the North Dakota State University in 1974, and B.S. in Pharmacy from Kaohsiung Medical College in 1971.  Dr. Chan has had many years of industry, academic and regulatory experience in organizations such as Section Head in Ciba‑Geigy (now Novartis), Division Director at the Office of Generic Drugs/Food and Drug Administration, Professor at the University of Maryland and then co-founded GloboMax LLC in 1997 (acquired by ICON, plc in 9/2003 with 100+ employees and now a 350+ people organization).   His work has resulted in more than 150 abstracts and publications in peer-reviewed journals and over 190 professional presentations.  He was elected as fellow of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) in 1995 for his scientific accomplishments on drug absorption in humans.  

 

Dr. Chan holds several academic appointments at the University of Minnesota since 1984, the University of Maryland since 1994, and is a visiting professor at the Shenyang Pharmaceutical University (China) and National Defense Medical Center (Taiwan). 

 

Even though his major career works are in the States and has been served as a consultant for numerous multi-national, medium size and start up companies, he also assists Asian pharmaceutical and biotech companies over the last 12 years.  He is the current and past president of American Chinese Pharmaceutical Association (ACPA) and had organized numerous workshops and conferences in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Korea.  He also served and still serving as a scientific advisor for many regulatory agencies in Asia.   He lectured frequently in the Asia in the hope to upgrading their pharmaceutical industry.   Over the last several years, he had successfully assisted many Asian companies in their technologies transfers and licensing deals to and from US as well as numerous regulatory submissions to the US FDA.
