Organizational Vision and Goals

The vision of Monte Jade Science and Technology Association of Greater Washington is to be the leading organization in providing our community with resources for starting, funding and growing high technology businesses.   Our community includes current and future entrepreneurs; students, researchers, scientists, scholars and business people.  In furtherance of our community's goals, we will regularly conduct seminars, networking events, and conferences.

Organization Profile

Monte Jade Science and Technology Association was founded by a group of leading Chinese professionals and corporations from various industrial sectors and enterprises. The goal is to create a forum that would bring professionals together for the purpose of networking and business cooperation. For many years, we have made great strides in promoting this cooperation among executives and entrepreneurs, to foster the exchange of information and business opportunities, and to provide an incubator for young executives/entrepreneurs. Monte Jade is a non-profit organization designed to benefit Asian-owned scientific and technological businesses and entrepreneurs in the Greater Washington Area. We are a high-tech network of executives of established companies in pursuit of new business opportunities. Currently, our areas of technological focus include (but not limited to): Information & Technology; Bio-Technology; Space Sciences; Engineering; Telecommunications; Environmental Sciences; Business Development and Management.

Organizational Capabilities

Monte Jade provides our members with an insight into starting their own business, better management of their existing companies, and assistance in conducting business in the ever-growing international marketplace. We communicate and assist through our bi-monthly seminars, newsletters, networking events, workshops, and trade fairs on topics relevant to business development and management. Monte Jade's goal is to assist you in enhancing your business skills, discover your career direction, and pursuing job opportunities. Since its establishment, the Association has enjoyed popular support and respect from the local Asian- and Chinese- American communities, the governments, private associations, and embassies from around the world. Our potential - and yours - will increase exponentially. Monte Jade has many other chapters organized throughout the United States, Canada and Asia. The vast array of top-notch Asian-Pacific-American technical professionals and businesspersons enrich our resources. Monte Jade's united effort continues to provide an excellent opportunity to foster the development of new enterprises.

Membership in MJ-DC

We need your support to make MJ-DC a success...  If you are new to MJ-DC, we encourage you to attend our events and join MJ-DC (please join via our "Member Registration" page at http://cht1.endiva.net/mj-dc/SSL/MemberRegistration.asp). Benefits of MJ-DC membership include: 1) reduced cost or free entry in future events; 2) invitation to member-only events; 3) special access to MJ-DC resources; 4) Priority registration for space-limited events.  Corporate members will also receive sponsorship rights on our website and other MJ-DC publications.
